Maple Mint Julep

Maple Mint Julep

Ingredients:

  • 8 Mint Leaves
  • 1/2 oz Canadian Maple Syrup
  • 3 dashes Blue Coast Bitters Northern Attitude Maple
  • 2 oz Canadian Rye Whisky

Directions:

  1. Add mint, Maple syrup and 1 dashes of bitters to a rocks glass.
  2. Gently muddle the mint. 
  3. Add Whisky and stir.
  4. Tightly pack the glass with crushed ice and stir until frosted. 
  5. Top with more crushed ice to form an ice dome.
  6. Garnish with a mint sprig (slap the mint sprig on the back of your hand before garnishing, this releases the oils to make your mint more aromatic). 
  7. Add a couple more dashes of bitters to the top.
